Ridge
We moved over to Ridge, the final stop on the FLS meet schedule on Wednesday, and stayed through Sunday. Ridge is a large track, and features huge yards, industrial sidings, building, bridges, tunnels, and the steepest longest down hill run in Florida. It is set for bi-directional/signalled run in the evenings.
We had some nice weather at the week went on Friday was almost "seasonal". Then, on Saturdeay AM, the rains came back. In the morning, it was hang around and talk time. Many attenddees packed up and leaft. The table mounted G gauge and gauge 1 were in operation. About 3PM the weather cleared, and most everyone left hit the track. Yep, traffic jams waiting to go through the tunnel and down the hill.
As the last stop on the meet, many live railroaders show up for this event, many who had not been on the rails at other locations. Run continued until dinner on Saturday, and then went on to Sunday.
