Florida Live Steamers
2008 Winter Meets

From February 8 to February 22, we participated
in 4 stops of the FLS Winter Meets. We did this as a motor home trip.
We did some family visiting while we were in Florida
The equipment we brought with us was both Pum Cove
Generic Electric boxcabs, #206 and #805, the 0-4-0 Steam/Beam engine
#907, bobber cabooses #101 and #102, gondolas #SOU1966 and #RDG34023,
and hopper #BBX . Along the way, we received a new car and added that
to the consist. This was engineer's car #301. Photos of all
of our rolling stock are at http://billmatson.com/large_scale/mainpage.htm. There
is an album for each location. Click on the name of the railroad from
the table below will take you to that album. Enjoy the photos!

at the West Toccoi and Bostwick, the home of the Northeast Floriday

We rode on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at this track which

The next stop for 4 days was this track in Parrish. This is a very

In addition to 7-1/2" track, they have a 4/34", and table top operation
for O Gauge, G Gauge, and Guage 1. |

We spend the final 3 days at this track near Dundee. This location
operated 7-/12" and table top G Gauge. We joined this club while
we were there. On the final day at the track, we had the chance to
operate with and photograph a group of 4 additional stam/beam locomotives.
A group of 5 at once was quite a sight!
